COACHES' AND ADMINISTRATORS' CODE OF CONDUCT
|
I. The children have been entrusted to us to teach them the sports of football and cheerleading. We should make it an enjoyable, fun, and positive experience for them. |
II. There is no smoking or drinking on the practice or game fields. |
III. There is a Zero tolerance policy for the use of illegal substances by any party associated with our program. |
IV. There is a Zero tolerance policy for drinking before or during practice or games. |
V. Coaches should refrain from interacting with the players if their senses are impaired due to medication. |
VI. There is a Zero tolerance policy for physical abuse of a player, coach, or parent. |
VII. Coaches will role model sportsmanship for our players. We will not "run up" the score or otherwise embarrass an opponent. We will address officials, opposing coaches, and players in a respectful manner. We will not taunt, gloat, or berate another team. |
VIII. Disagreements with coaches or parents will be handled in a mature constructive manner. |
IX. We will not use profanity at players or coaches. |
X. Coaches should make every effort to get all players in the game. The JV team is developmental; every JV player must get a minimum of 6 plays from scrimmage. The use of Varsity players in a JV game should be kept to an absolute minimum; and will never take away playing time from a JV player. |
XI. Take time to know your players' parents. They are invaluable resources for non-coaching and fundraising activities. |
